Hi, I am Katrina.
I am the Clerk to Hollinswood & Randlay Parish Council and have been here for more than 15 years. Prior to coming here, I worked as PA to the Mayor and Members at Telford & Wrekin Council and I am also clerk to two smaller Parishes in the Borough.
I have six O Levels and other Local Council Qualifications. I am a Member of the Institute of Qualified Private Secretaries and a qualified Member of the Institute of Local Council Management.
I have recently attained the qualification as a CILCA Trainer, so I am able to assist and mentor other new clerks as they join this exciting profession.
In 2006 I was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours. This was an extremely proud moment for me, as it was for services to the community.
I live at Waters Upton, in the northern part of the Borough and I enjoy spending time walking and fund-raising. My main hobby, however, is my work. I enjoy my job, I like working with my colleagues and I get a lot of pleasure from serving the communities within our Parish.
Together, we achieve so much and we organise community events which local people love to come to. My job is very rewarding and satisfying.
At Hollinswood & Randlay Parish Council we get things done – we are a can-do Council and have helped and supported many local people and will continue to do so.

Hi, I am Glyn,
I have worked for Hollinswood & Randlay Parish Council for around 6 years. Before working for a local council, my experience was in a factory and a restaurant. This different type of job really appealed to me.
I have been a caretaker and have more recently been appointed as the Parish Warden. This role means that I manage the community buildings and allotments and I really enjoy working with the community.
I have lived in Hollinswood nearly all of my life and gained my qualifications locally. Since being employed by the Parish Council I have been supported in undertaking additional training. I have qualificaitons in health & safety, good hygiene, ladder training and in the use of the defibrillator. I am also a qualified first aider and PAT (portable appliance tester). I also represented the Parish Council on a specialist course for First Aid outside – this is particularly useful for our work within Randlay Valley.
I am a team player, but also used to working on my own initiative. I very much enjoy working with the Councillors and Colleagues, especially when the parish Council hosts community events.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, radio cars, carpentry and tracing my family tree.
Hi I am Liam,
I am a member of the team at Hollinswood & Randlay parish and I first joined as an apprentice through the TWC scheme when I joined as an Environmental Operative. I have now been with the Council for 2 ½ years and although I do not live in the Parish, I care very much about the areas within the parish boundary and I am always on the lookout for jobs that need doing to keep the area clean and tidy.
I studied for GCSEs at college and previously undertook a motor vehicle course. Since my appointment to the Parish Council I have attended numerous training courses and am now qualified in the use of mowers, strimmers and leaf blowers. I am also a qualified First Aider and have knowledge of the use of the defibrillator out in the community.
In my spare time, I enjoy football and going to the gym – keeping fit is important to me.
I enjoy working at the parish council we are a family team, helping each other and work together to help and support the community.
Hi, I am Jackie,
I am part of the team at Hollinswood & Randlay Parish Council. I have worked here for over 12 years and I really enjoy my job. I have worked for other Councils before this one and I have a lot of experience. Whilst I do not live in the Parish, I am only a short distance away and I do know a lot of local people in the area.
Whilst working for the Parish Council I have gone to a lot of training courses. I am a trained first aider and I have passed the health & safety and food hygiene qualifications.
In my spare time I like to read and walk. I also enjoy socialising. I like helping at the Parish Council events – we work as a team and look after the people who attend. I am a team- player, but I also work on my own. The Parish Council organises a lot of community events and they are enjoyed by everyone who attends them.
I joined the Parish Council in June 2014. My job description would lead you to believe that I am just an administrative staff member, but my role is much more than that. My previous employments gave me a wide range of skills, the most useful I have found in this role, is the ability to deal with people.
On a daily basis, I communicate with Councillors, community leaders, colleagues, volunteers and the public – my life skills certainly help me in a variety of different situations. I am educated to A Level and have attended many training courses over the years. However, the training I find most useful is hands-on – learning as I go. An example of this is the creation of the Parish Council website. I hope you have taken a look at it recently.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, reading and eating out. We also like travelling and camping.
Since joining the Parish Council I have been surprised at the wide range of roles that are undertaken by this organisation and our small team of staff work together to support the community at every opportunity. Working with the community for the community and being able to make a difference in the community where I live is very worthwhile and rewarding.
